WOW! Im so surprised by these reviews i thought this was a very reputable school in the mountains. My Husband and i were really considering sending our kids here next year. This is really sad reading these reviews. I can't see us sending our kids here now. Thanks for posting all of this as others that aren't from the area can stay informed. I did think the registrar Anne was alittle too over the top nice it did stop and make me think. Now i know why the class sizes are so small.

Dreadful teachers in primary. You will have 2 or 3 good ones and the rest are rubbish. Everyone has complained to the Principal but he seems more interested in keeping his pathetic teachers than listening to us parents. Have had enough i am one of many leaving and taking my children out. I believe it is only still operating as it once long ago had a great reputation, sadly that is long gone. Look elsewhere!

Let's just say if there was another more traditional type private school in the mountains ( there are some alternative ones) i would be sending my daughter and son there.

Our family have only recently moved all the way up here from Melbourne, well hasn't that been a ride!!!! We came from having our children in the TOP Catholic school in Melbourne to pretty much the pits in the Mountains. Don't even consider sending your children to this school. The people up here only send their kids to Blue Mountains Grammar School as there is no other private school in the mountains, except for the hippie commune/alternative types or the churchy schools that have 30 per class. Do your homework beforehand you have been warned. Im furious at the school i will tell anyone that listens this school is the pits!!!! There is approx 30 children leaving at the end of the year and won't be returning. Not surprised by that!!! I can't even begin to tell you the problems, just know you have been warned!

The school rides on the fact we have no place else to send our children and takes total advantage of that. My daughter in 2 years finally had an amazing teacher. My son has had 2 poor teachers back to back. It's the luck of the draw at BMG everything depends on what teacher your child gets every year an you hope with fingers crossed it isn't one of the bad ones, as there are a few at the school. We are relocating next year so we pretty much have to shut up and put up with the situation that has been so poor for the last 4 years. There are many children leaving this year they are all dropping like flies as I think every parent has been pushed far enough an now with composite classes next year that is the final straw. I didn't even think they did composite classes in private schools???? I would reconsider and rethink your options before thinking of BMG, not at the moment anyway. Hopefully in a few years things might turn around again. Fingers crossed for the poor parents paying the enormous fees.
